How can I use this app?

How does FarangPay work?

Once you have downloaded our app you will be guided through the following 3 steps:

Sign up for a FarangPay account.
Fill in your details including a photo of your passport.
Link your credit card to your account.
Scan QR codes at merchants or online stores to pay.
Your card will be charged for every transaction separately in EUR.

After you signed up once, you can simply scan & pay all over Thailand with just your phone.

Are there any fees?

Yes, there are fees connected with using the service:

0.89% fee for EEA payment card processing: allows using your EEA consumer debit or credit card for every QR code scan transaction
3.20% fee for FX: allows us to charge your card in EUR

On the other hand, thanks to FarangPay, you can save the following fees:

200 THB (over 5 EUR) for each ATM cash withdrawal with int'l card in Thailand
Around 3-5% hidden currency exchange fee from EUR to THB applied by your bank for every card use or ATM withdrawal (the exact fee depends on your bank)
Up to 3% extra fee charged by some Thai merchants for accepting cards

What are the unique benefits of using FarangPay?
